Jennifer has been a professional actor and artist for twenty years. In 1995, she moved from Edmonton to Toronto. In 2001, she became more focused on painting, and enrolled full-time at the Toronto School of Art. Her visual arts career has since taken the limelight. She is equally passionate about portraiture and abstraction, and has achieved great success in each genre, receiving as many commissions for abstractions as she has for portraits. Unique use of line and blocks of colour to reflect depth in light and shadow are characteristic of her style. Her unconventional palette allows colours to ‘sing’ alongside each other, evoking dimension in a new way. Since 2001, Jennifer has taken part in numerous group shows. Her first solo portraiture show was last fall (2006) at The Rushton. Her first solo abstraction show will be at the Zilberschmuck Gallery in the Beaches in May 2007.
